Sextortion

A scammer builds rapport quickly, often posing as an attractive stranger, and convinces the target to share intimate photos or video during a private chat. They then threaten to release the material to contacts or publicly unless a payment is made.

• Moves to explicit content unusually fast
• Requests photos or video be sent privately off-platform
• Threatens to contact your friends or family shortly after
• Creates urgency to pressure a fast decision
• Account was created very recently
• Uses screen-recording or screenshot proof to pressure payment
